![]() When I finally did get the food, there was some liquid that leaked all over everything (the bag that had most of the food had completely ripped apart by the time the driver put it on my doorstep). After waiting 20 minutes, I called the restaurant (no one picked up), and then texted them (since their website said that was an option), and no one texted me back until after the delivery driver sent me a text saying he had my food and was on the way. First, the food arrived an hour late, without any sort of heads up or apology. Several days in advance, I had ordered a couple meals (through their Restaurant Week deals) to be delivered - including the tip, ended up being over $150. cheaper price, as well as more restaurants where you can spend the same amount of money for miles-better quality. DC has numerous other restaurants that can offer the food offered here for better quality and. Haven't dined in this restaurant in-person, so can't speak to that, but this restaurant is garbage when it comes to deliver. Whatever you do, do not get takeout here. The noise inside Equinox last weekend was what one would expect at a cheap, low class pub or bar. It definitely was not what one would expect from an upscale dining establishment. But any joy in that was over-ridden by horrible noise in the restaurants. We even spoke to the manager, and still the loud noise went on.ģ out of the 5 courses were pleasing to the palate. We implored the staff to address the noise level, and upon doing so were thanked by the diners at the table next to us because they were frustrated as well. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the meal, because the restaurant chose to play the football game during dinner and they did nothing to quiet the boisterous group of men who gathered to watch the game, drink, and shout throughout the dinner hour. We had high expectations, given the reviews that had been written. Instead, the experience at Equinox that evening loud, rowdy, and low class. My significant other and I dined here for what we thought would be a lovely date last weekend. I hope they would improve their service including retraining their servers especially the manager on duty. We've been going here for years for their regular dinner and brunch and their service has always been excellent until for this special occasion.įood was excellent though as expected. Their underwhelming service is disappointing for this upscale restaurant. We had to ask few more bread while waiting since they only served few slices for our large party. This was bizarre as most servers would at least ask especially for a birthday party. That was the only the service worth mentioning.Īfter the food was served, NEITHER of the two servers nor the manager came to ask how the food was. Table was set up with the special birthday menu printed for each seat. We had the private balcony since we were a party of 20. That was the first and last time we saw her. When we arrived, we were greeted by the nice manager who helped in organizing. My husband organized the event months prior and the restaurant's point of contact (manager?) was helpful leading up to the event.
